Welcome to Schönhagen Airport

Schönhagen Airport is one of the most significant in Germany, and with roughly 45,000 flights annually, is the largest in eastern Germany. Here the entire range of general air transport is represented. The airport is ideally equipped for business aviation and, at the same time, an attractive base for private and recreational flying. In the air transportation classification of up to 12 tonnes MTOM, Schönhagen Airport has developed to become one of the most important secondary airports for the capital's new airport, Berlin-Brandenburg International (BBI).

Flying near the gates of Berlin, at the heart of Europe

The attractive location at the edge of the burgeoning economic region south of Berlin, between Potsdam and Schönefelder Kreuz, gives the Schönhagen site an additional advantage that will continue to grow due to the development of the new mega-airport, BBI. The continuing motorway renewal, the A-road network and the regional train network all guarantee ideal access to the airport.
